Rats may become 'aggressive' due to COVID-19 restaurant shutdowns, CDC warns
CBS News
Stay-at-home orders in many areas of the country may lead to an increase in rats and "aggressive rodent behavior," the CDC warns. In a touchless world, 3D cameras will make restaurants safer
How will restaurants ever make the idea of “dining out” safe enough for customers to return in large numbers? That’s the $273 billion question. Spreading out tables, disinfecting, and proper use of PPE by staff are obvious. But also vital to a safe return is reducing the number of items and surfaces customers have to touch, particularly those surfaces also touched by others. Trust and peace-of-mind will be paramount.

Restaurants with closed dining rooms win clearance for outdoor seating
Restaurant Business
Jurisdictions that have yet to allow the reopening of restaurant dining rooms are bowing to pressure for outdoor seating to be OK'd as an alternative way of providing on-premise service — an option consumers perceive as far safer than eating inside. Thursday alone, outdoor restaurant dining was given the green light in San Francisco, Chicago and North Carolina — in the latter instance, in direct contradiction to a standing executive order from Gov. Roy Cooper.

Now is the time to prioritize indoor environmental quality
As stay-at-home and social distancing guidelines have kept many Americans confined to certain spaces and areas, strategies that promote healthy indoor environments have become incredibly relevant and important for building teams to understand and consider.
