Meet our RFMA Member, Greg Clark

Posted By Rheagan Willis, RFMA, Thursday, August 1, 2019

What year did you join RFMA? 2014, our company was looking to centralize our in-house facilities teams.

What RFMA groups are you involved in? Resource Committee and Board of Directors

What do you like most about RFMA and why? How helpful everyone is and the sharing of ideas. We are all dealing with the same job trying to maintain our restaurant building grounds and equipment and everyone enjoys talking solutions and ideas. It’s awesome how many friends I have made.

Which RFMA Resource do you utilize the most and why? The website for possible vendors and ideas. Because I know our vendor partners have restaurant experience and it makes a big difference.

Where did you grow up? Columbus, OH

What is your proudest accomplishment? Getting my Professional Engineers License, because it took a very long time and a lot of sacrifice on my family and me to achieve it.

If you weren’t in the Facilities Industry, what would you be doing? Designing MEP’s for buildings.

Who is your favorite sports team? Ohio State football

What is your favorite place in the world? The beach…mostly Myrtle Beach out of convenience. St. Thomas’ Sapphire Beach preferably, though I haven’t been to Hawaii.

What’s your favorite type of food? Smoked Barbeque Brisket with southern style hush puppies.

What is your favorite book? The Shack

What is one of your favorite quotes? "As iron sharpen iron, so a friend sharpens a friend" - King Solomon

What is your favorite song? Not really one favorite, anything from Queen or REO. (Yes I’m old)

Do you have a secret talent and if so, what is it? I can tie a lot of different knots.

If you could meet an iconic person from History, who would it be? Thomas Edison, anyone who keeps after something after 1,000’s of failed attempts would be really cool to talk with about what motivates them.

Who knows you the best? My wife, she’s my soulmate, best friend and the most compassionate person I have ever met.
