Meet our RFMA Member, Rob Foraker

Posted By Rheagan Willis, RFMA, Monday, July 1, 2019

What year did you join RFMA? Why did you join RFMA? 2006. RFMA was just starting out and I didn’t not know many other RFM’s. It was an exciting time to branch out and network with others in the industry, and still is today.

What RFMA groups are you involved in? 2010 Membership Development Committee, 2018 Co-Chair Franchise Task Force and Leadership RFMA Class of 2019-2020

What do you like most about RFMA and why? I like the fact that the organization is a member driven association. You are with peers who face the same challenges and have input to solutions that help each one of us be a better RFM. It’s the people that make RFMA great. Proud to be a part of it.

Which RFMA Resource do you utilize the most and why? I use the new app all the time as well as Facilitator magazine. Great way to stay connected to everything and everyone.

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Canton, Ohio, home of the Pro Football HOF and Marilyn Manson…

What is your proudest accomplishment? I am most proud of my family, we are the perfect mix of chaos and love. They are my everything.

If you weren’t in the Facilities Industry, what would you be doing? I always wanted to be an Archeologist, but I guess if I was an archeologist, my life would be in ruins...

Who are your favorite sports teams? I am a big Red Wing Hockey fan as well as a fan of all my CLE teams (Indians, Browns, Cavs).

What is your favorite place in the world? At home, hanging out with my wife and kids (and dogs).

What’s your favorite type of food? Anything grilled. Steak, Burgers, Ribs, Chicken, vegetables, cheese, pineapple, etc.

What is your favorite book? It is a toss-up between “Still Life with Woodpecker” by Tom Robbins and “Practical Demonkeeping” by Christopher Moore.

What is one of your favorite quotes? “Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.” - Shakespeare

What is your favorite song? Too many to name. I stick to the 3 R’s…The Replacements, the Ramones, and The Rolling Stones.

Do you have a secret talent and if so, what is it? Before kids I was a 220 average bowler…

If you could meet an iconic person from History, who would it be? Joe Strummer. I would love to sit and have a few pints with him.

Who knows you the best? My wife…She filled out this PROfile for me…(not really, but she could have)
