Hello RFMA Members,
There are a few articles in the Facilitator magazine I'm involved with. The first is "Emerging Trends" where I discuss a specific topic with a SME (Subject Matter Expert) from one of our members or non-members on what the future looks like for a specific topic. In the latest story, I talked with Bob and Anthony Gouglar of Wayne Communications on where they saw advancements in Drive - Thru's in the next 5 years. We all know the importance of these and the growing use. Obviously, restaurants are constantly looking at quicker drive-thru times and increased order accuracy. Bob and Anthony shared several interesting nuggets of info on what the future may hold. AI (Artificial Intelligence) is increasingly being used for order taking and suggestive selling. Also, the food delivery system may change dramatically soon due to the ever increasing use of the drive-thru.
The other article I'm involved with is the "FM Project Profile" which details a specific project or item that one of our restaurant facility professional members has been involved with in their past. The most recent one is from Angela Hughes, CRFP, from Red Lobster which covers her experiences and thoughts on vendor and landlord relationships as they pertain to her everyday job duties. The success of these relationships are vitally important in our industry as everyone needs to work as a team in solving issues that each are faced with constantly. Success is only obtained by the strength and knowledge of all involved and all must be available 24/7 to keep restaurants operating.
Check out these articles in the latest Facilitator magazine. I think you'll enjoy them and take away good information to assist you in "protecting your company assets". If you have any questions or comments, let me know.
