2020 RFMA Gives Site Annoucement

Posted By Jeff Dover, CRFP, RFMA, Wednesday, May 15, 2019
Updated: Tuesday, May 14, 2019

Hello RFMA Members,

RFMA is humbled and pleased to announce that our RFMA Gives 2020 project recipient is Stout Street Foundation located in Commerce City, CO. After visiting several wonderful organizations in the Denver area, Stout Street was chosen because of its great fit and the large impact our members will be able to make at the organization. Stout Street's facilities include two buildings, one for administration and one for housing their residents (previously a hotel), that RFMA will be able to work on.

Stout Street's mission is “to provide a supportive, therapeutic community for addicts and alcoholics to help them help themselves so they may return to society as recovering, productive, and responsible citizens". Stout Street provides a 2-3 year residential treatment program which includes professional services and vocational training to approximately 200 adult men and women each year. Plus they accept individuals without requiring any fees. Stout Street only asks that participants in the program are motivated to face their addiction and willing to work to put the pieces of their life back together. Learn more about our RFMA Gives 2020 project recipient by checking out their website at

I would also like to give another warm welcome to our 2020 co-project managers,  Josh Rains, CRFP, Peggy Fromholz and Jennifer Thompson. The project managers and I will be completing a "deep-dive" at Stout Street's facilities next week to determine our "project wish list." The list will include equipment, projects, services and other items that could be used to further Stout Street's services and growth in the community. As soon as the "project wish list" is complete we will post the list onto the blog and also email it to all our RFMA members.

We are very excited about partnering with Stout Street in 2020 and we look forward to another wonderful RFMA Gives project! We are so thankful to our membership who continues to step-up and support these highly deserving organizations each year. Stay tuned to our RFMA Gives blog for more details and volunteer updates.

Save the Date! Our RFMA Gives 2020 Volunteer Day is scheduled for Saturday, September, 21st. Registration will be available through RFMA's Event Calendar in June.

Dover and out.

Projects Are Getting Completed!

Posted By Jeff Dover, CRFP, RFMA, Friday, January 18, 2019

Hello RFMA Members,

Projects are getting completed at Mobile Loaves & Fishes. The Community Table Pavilion had a pizza oven (Texas Oven Co.) installed along with new clear plastic roll-down awnings (Austin American Awning) which has made this area useful during the winter months. New A/C units for the restrooms in the Unity Hall were supplied and installed by CNSA (Consolidated Services of North America, LLC). The storage shed is now complete due to the efforts of Chipotle and K&N Management. Check out the photos of each included in this post. Additionally all the electrical work has been finished in the kitchen for all the new donated equipment and the tiny home is scheduled to be done soon which will formally end another wonderful RFMA Gives project.

For those of you attending our national conference next month in Austin, make sure you attend the Opening Session on Monday to see the RFMA Gives Presentation where RFMA gives thanks to all the contributors to this wonderful project. Also, there will be a featured story in the April/May Facilitator magazine on this year's event.

Lastly, I want to send a special thanks to the project managers, Jay Andruk, CRFP and Carl LeBoeuf, CRFP and to their company, K&N Management who supervised, worked at, and coordinated all the activities of this year's projects. The success was entirely due to their efforts and passion for giving back. Of course we all know who the real hero's are and we thank everyone at Mobile Loaves & Fishes for their assistance to the homeless in Austin. It's a amazing way to give dignity to those in need.

Again, thank you to all the donors. I am truly grateful....

Dover and out.
