RFMA Gives Update

Posted By Jeff Dover, CRFP, RFMA, Friday, May 11, 2018
Updated: Thursday, May 10, 2018

Hello RFMA Members,

Thanks to our member's generosity, many items have been tentatively donated thus far for our next RFMA Gives project at Mobile Loaves and Fishes (MLF) in Austin, however many other things are still needed. We would love to assist MLF in constructing small facilities for a new Goat Dairy, small home, and storage shed. Fortunately, the foundation has already been poured for the storage shed and we are hoping we can construct this as one of our activities during the Volunteer Day scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 8th. Mark your calendar for this. Additional details and registration will be coming soon. For all of these structures we need help with building materials and contractor services. Feel free to contact me to discuss further.

Following is an updated Project/Equipment spreadsheet showing what has been tentatively donated and what is remaining:

2019 RFMA GIVES, MOBILE LOAVES & FISHES

= tentative donation received

Commercial Kitchen

The equipment upgrades to the commercial kitchen will expand the offerings of the facility. The equipment will allow MLF to increase the number of people they are able to serve as well as increase volunteer engagement in the kitchen. Additionally the new equipment will increase the health, safety, and usability of the kitchen space.
