RFMA Committees

Thank you for your interest in joining a RFMA Committee or Task Force. RFMA offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to help all of our members participate and engage in RFMA.  You can apply to join a RFMA Committee or Task Force yearly. Our next opportunity to join a Committee will be December 1, 2018-January 15, 2019. 

Serving on a RFMA Committee:
-Must be a current RFMA member
-Two-year commitment
-Work throughout the year on projects that align with RFMA’s mission statement
-Participate monthly conference calls (up to an hour) and a required in-person meeting at RFMA’s annual conference.
-Report to RFMA Board of Directors  

Serving on a Task Force:
-Must be a current RFMA member
-Created on an as needed basis throughout the year.
-Report directly to RFMA Committees.
-Conference Calls and frequency are to be determined based on the specific project goal.
-Task Force will disassemble once goal is achieved.

Staring December 1st, you will be able to complete the online committee involvement form to apply for a RFMA Committee or Task Force. Once you have submitted your online application,  it will be reviewed and then you will be contacted by RFMA. 
RFMA will be accepting applications from December 1, 2018-January 15, 2019. 


RFMA's Committees

Conference Curriculum Committee
-Help develop the education program for the RFMA annual conference
-Evaluate education abstract submissions and presentations
Eligibility Requirement: 7-years work experience in Facility Management, attended RFMA’s Annual Conference and CRFP designation is encouraged.
Time Commitment: Very extensive July-February, as you are reviewing presentations and working  with speakers to prepare for RFMA's annual conference.

Editorial Board
-Composed of RFMA members who review editorial submissions for RFMA's official publication, Facilitator. 
Eligibility Requirement: 15+ years of restaurant facility management experience; a variety of experience is encouraged. Restaurant brand professional members only. 
Time Commitment: Each Editorial Board member will review and comment on up to 10 articles per issue. 

Membership Development Committee
-Market RFMA membership and its benefits to prospective members
Eligibility Requirement: Attended RFMA events, 2+ years as a RFMA member
Time Commitment: Monthly conference calls. 


Member Engagement Committee

- InSite community development: connect, moderate Online Forums, encourage participation
- Assist RFMA staff in picking regional event activities
- Evaluate current member benefits & member retention strategy
- Reviews RFMy award submissions
- Create new programs for RFMA members to interact and network
Eligibility Requirement:
Attended RFMA events, 2+ years as a RFMA member

Time Commitment:
Monthly conference call.

Online Learning Committee

-Plan and pick topics for RFMA-U webinars each calendar year
-Solicit RFMA-U online webinars that address restaurant facilities topics
-Evaluate success of past webinars
Eligibility Requirement: 3 years’ work experience in Facility Management, attended RFMA’s Annual Conference and CRFP designation is encouraged.
Time Commitment: Monthly for a conference call

RFMA Resources Committee

- Solicit key online restaurant facility resources for RFMA’s online resource library
- Create and evaluate benchmarking opportunities
- Set up and moderate Peer to Partner Best Practices Calls
-Oversee Best Practices submissions
Eligibility Requirements: At least two years of experience in Restaurant Facility Management.
Time Commitment: Monthly conference call.

Vendor Voice Committee
-Serves as representative for RFMA's diverse Vendor-Allied membership
Eligibility Requirements: 3+ years as a RFMA member; Knowledge of RFMA resources, tools and vendor offerings/opportunities; Exhibited at RFMA's Annual Conference
Time Commitment: Monthly conference call. 
Applications will be reviewed by RFMA's Advisory Council. 

RFMA’s Task Forces

Best Practices Task Force:
-
Solicit and review Best Practices articles
-This Task Force reports to the RFMA Resources Committee
Eligibility Requirements: At least 5 years of work experience in Facility Management and knowledge of industry topics being highlighted in the Best Practices Handbook.
Time Commitment: up to 1- hour a month (December-June); one-year term limit


Best Practices Editorial Task Force

-
Articles that has been vetted by the Best Practices Task Force will be reviewed by the Editorial Committee.
-This Task Force Reports to the RFMA Resources Committee
Eligibility Requirement: Must be a CRFP
Time Commitment: up to 1 hour each month (January-June) to review articles.


Maximize Your Membership Task Force
:
 
-Present topics such as InSite, CRFP Learning Modules and RFMA website to RFMA members via webinar (up to 4 times a year)
-This Task Force reports to the Member Engagement Committee.
Time Commitment:
1 hour per webinar
Eligibility Requirements: 
1+ years as a RFMA member; Knowledgeable of RFMA's member benefits


Peer to Peer Calls Task Force

-Meet once a year via conference call to review the past attendee surveys and set Peer to Peer topics for future calls. 
-This Task Force reports to the Member Engagement Committee

Time Commitment:
1 hour
Eligibility Requirements:
Restaurant Brand Professional Member only; Must have attended 1+ Peer to Peer Call


Red Carpet Crew Task Force

-Contact and welcome new RFMA members to the association
-This Task Force reports to the Member Engagement Committee
Time Commitment: Minimal time required.


Resource Library Task Force
:
-Meets via conference call four times a year (March, June, September, December) to discuss resources that would benefit RFMA members that will be easily accessible in RFMA’s Resource Library. 
-This Task Force reports to the RFMA Resources Committee
Eligibility Requirements: 3-5 year’s work experience.  Restaurant Brand Professional Members Only.
Time Commitment: 4-30 minutes conference call meetings
