Boards & Committees

The RFMA Board of Directors is made up of 12 Restaurant Professional members - 4 Officers and 8 Directors-at-large, who are elected by the membership, and a board alternate who will assume the role of director if a vacancy occurs. There are also two non-voting members, a Vendor Representative appointed by the Board, and the RFMA Executive Director. Directors serve a 3-year term and the Vendor Representative serves a 1-year term.

Editorial Board is composed of a group of RFMA members who review editorial submissions for RFMA's official publication, Facilitator.

RFMA's Mission Statement: To equip members to advance their professional careers and organizations.

The Membership Development Committee markets RFMA membership and its benefits to potential RFMA members and evaluate and updates RFMA’s marketing materials.

The Online Learning Committee seeks and approve topics for the RFMA-U Online Webinars addressing facilities topics, as well as, RFMA member interest groups. The committee also creates the RFMA-U online webinar calendar and pick topics for each webinar and evaluates success of past webinars.

RFMA Gives is the charitable arm of the Restaurant Facility Management Association (RFMA). It offers members the opportunity to give back, to network, and to utilize their expertise for the benefit of select non-profit food service organizations. Most recipients have limited access to external funding and demonstrate that our contribution will result in an increased capacity to serve their community. (See more description on group page)

The Vendor Voice Committee serves as representation for RFMA's Vendor Membership. The Committee is selected each year by the Vendor Representative serving on the Board of Directors.

The Advisory Board is made up of former RFMA Board members who wish to stay active in RFMA. They are included in all board communications and meetings upon completing their regular board term, as long as they meet the minimum standard of participation set forth in the Bylaws and their membership remains current. This is a non-voting position.

Conference Curriculum Committee – Responsible for education session content at the annual conference. Work with RFMA Education Manager to review submissions, select final presenters and approve PowerPoint presentations. Active commitment period - May-November.

The RFMA Resources Committee has been put in place to build the RFMA resource library and help determine ways to utilize the website, online community, newsletter, and Facilitator magazine to provide those valuable tools to the membership.
