RFMA ETHICS AND POLICIES |
| It is the responsibility of the each RFMA member to read and understand these guidelines as written in the RFMA Ethics and Policies. |
The Restaurant Facility Management Association (RFMA) represents a group of facility professionals and their companies dedicated to advancing industry awareness of restaurant facility management, while promoting professional and ethical standards to serve the customer with added value. With this in mind, we have in place the following policies and guidelines to promote the growth of all our members and their business endeavors. |

| Code of Ethics |
All RFMA members are to comply with the Code of Ethics at all times. When in doubt, members have the responsibility to seek clarification from RFMA. RFMA members shall always treat each other professionally and shall abide by the Mission Statement. RFMA members shall govern themselves by our goals and by-laws of the association and shall support the objectives of its Board of Directors and the interests of the association. In all our business dealings, RFMA members will: - Treat everyone honestly, fairly and objectively.
- Avoid any unfair or deceptive practice.
- Always present our business in an honest and forthright manner.
- Follow proper Grievance reporting process.

| Meeting Etiquette |
- Non-exhibiting vendor members are not allowed on the exhibit floor.
- All members shall conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner, showing respect to others at all times.
- Any members with “past due” monies owed to the Restaurant Facility Management Association (RFMA), are not permitted to attend any RFMA function or meeting until the situation is resolved.
- All members must be registered appropriately with RFMA in order to attend RFMA meetings and conferences.
- Persons registering for a meeting or conference as a restaurateur must be able to provide proof of their current employment with a restaurant company. Falsifying a membership application and/or registration form is grounds for an internal grievance review and possible penalty.
- All members are prohibited from attending or sponsoring any functions during official hours at RFMA meetings or events that are not sponsored by RFMA.
- All exhibitors shall stay within their exhibiting area whenever possible. No vendor shall take advantage of this time to bring restaurateurs from other vendor exhibiting areas to their own exhibiting area.
- All members shall conduct themselves in accordance with the RFMA Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics.

| Usage Policies |
- The RFMA name or logo may not be used with out the express written consent of RFMA. Contact RFMA for the required Licensing Agreement or click here to download the form for vendor corporate allied members and click here to download the form for restaursant professional members.
- Members may not use the RFMA database for bulk emails or mailings. Directory information is for use only when making personal contact with another RFMA member.

| Media Policy |
- The Restaurant Facility Management Association (RFMA) reserves the right to limit media involvement or participation at any or all of its functions.
- RFMA provides a direct access contact for any magazine related questions through its publisher, France Publications, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. All media questions are directed to RFMA’s business office in Plano, Texas. Phone# (972) 381-4202.
- No material from Restaurant Facility Management Association (RFMA) or any web site owned, operated, licensed, or controlled by RFMA, may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any way, without the prior written permission of RFMA. Except that you may download one copy of the materials on any single computer for your personal, noncommercial use only, provided you keep intact all copyright and other proprietary notices.
- RFMA reserves and exercises the right to limit any media, any media employee, or any of their subsidiaries, affiliates, contractors, or suppliers.

| Grievance Reporting Policy |
RFMA membership is a privilege not a right and may be suspended or terminated with cause. Grievances may be filed against individual RFMA members or companies for violations of the Code of Conduct during RFMA functions. Grievances must be filed in writing through the following channels: - Grievance Forms can be located at the RFMA booth during convention shows or on the RFMA Website under Grievance Policy.
- Grievance Forms filled out during convention shows are to be handed to a member of the Board of Directors, Ethics Committee member or RFMA staff .
- Grievance Forms filled out online are to be emailed to tracy@rfmaonline.com or faxed to (972) 381-4203.
Grievance Process The following process will be followed upon receipt of a filed grievance: - The Grievance will be reviewed by the Ethics Committee, making inquiries of all parties involved and make a recommendation to the Board from the below actions mentioned.
- Grievances and recommendations shall be reviewed at the Board of Director’s Meeting or Conference Call.
- The Board may make further inquires before determining whether to proceed upon the Ethics Committees recommendation or take their own different course of action or none at all.
- Should the Board decide that further action is necessary, they may choose from the following actions:
a. Written warning outlining violation of code with notice kept on file for 90 days. Any violation found within the 90 days enables Board of Director’s to revoke membership privileges or suspend privileges for a period of one year depending of severity. b. Immediate suspension of membership privileges for a period of 6 months. c. Immediate suspension of membership privileges for a period of one year. d. Revoke membership privileges indefinitely. e. Assessment of a fine or financial restitution, commensurate with the violation. The Board of Director’s will also have the option of enforcing the above actions against any RFMA member or company that submits falsified allegations. Any action to be taken shall be at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors. |
