Happy Thanksgiving from RFMA
The RFMA staff would like to wish you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving! We are very thankful for you and all that you do to make RFMA such a wonderful organization to be a part of. The RFMA office will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28-29, but we will be back on Monday morning, Dec. 2, and ready to serve your needs. Safe travels to all and enjoy this day of thanks.

RFMA Gives 2014 Update
We have continued to make great progress on our RFMA Gives 2014 project at Dallas Life and wanted to let everyone know about what has been happening these past two months. Through RFMA Gives:

  • The entire dining area has been painted with soothing earth tones
  • Decorative laminate and chair rail has been installed on the dining room walls
  • New LED lighting has been installed throughout the dining area
  • A newly refinished serving bar has been installed
  • Two brand-new glass walled offices have been added in the dining area for Dallas Life's kitchen manager and staff
  • A brand-new, "restaurant-style" glass door has been installed
  • HVAC installation has been completed
  • New walls and redesign of dish washing area has been finished

Thank you again to all of the wonderful volunteers and RFMA companies who have helped support this project thus far. We can't wait to show everyone the finished product at RFMA 2014 in February.

Certified food protection managers soon required in all North Carolina eateries

North Carolina will soon join the ranks of states requiring certified food protection managers in all restaurants and other food-service outlets. By Jan. 1, 2014, North Carolina establishments must have at least one supervisor certified as a food protection manager through an American National Standards Institute-accredited program or face a 2-point violation from the state health department.
