Survey: Restaurant salaries on the rise

Salaries for restaurant hourly and corporate positions are on the rise, according to the 2013 Corporate Compensation and Benefits survey conducted by People Report. The study found that restaurants have budgeted for wages to increase on average by as much as 2.7 percent during 2013.

Baltimore restaurants brace for new valet parking fees

The Baltimore Board of Estimates has approved fees associated with new valet parking regulations that will be phased into 10 neighborhoods during the next two years. Restaurants and other businesses are looking at an extra $3,000 a year between valet application and license fees, renewal charges, fees for designated valet zones and special event permits.
