New CAFM Update Provides Proactive Weather Alerts to Protect Clients’ Sites from Severe Weather
LATHAM, NY - DWM Facilities Maintenance is excited to announce new features and functionality in their proprietary Hera CMMS. Version 5.4.2 includes an innovative weather alert module that alerts DWM when severe weather is expected at their clients’ sites. The system will allow DWM to proactively align technicians for weather-related calls and storm preparation.
“Back in 2004, we were faced with two options: purchase a CMMS or build our own,” said Brian Whitt, Chief Operating Officer. “With partnership and customization at our core, our team decided that building a proprietary system was the right decision. We couldn’t be happier with that decision. We love having the flexibility to implement innovative solutions, such as the new Hera Weather Module, to protect our clients’ investments.”
In addition to providing proactive technician alignment strategies, the module will alert the DWM service team of weather-related emergencies on a single store basis. For example, if a service coordinator is reviewing a work order and a weather alert is present at that store, DWM willl be able to bundle the storm preparation with the existing work order to save time and money. The module provides live alerts for hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, severe storms, and other weather-related emergencies.
“We are very excited to have this added functionality for our clients,” said Tracey Massaconi, Strategic Account Manager. “The weather alert module truly signifies DWM’s commitment to technological innovation and partnership.”
