Why did you join RFMA?
I was encouraged by restaurateurs I was working with.

What do you like most about RFMA? The ability to exchange ideas and philosophies with some of the best professionals in our industry.

Which RFMA Resource do you utilize the most and why?
I definitely read the Facilitator from cover to cover, but I also enjoy the multitude of resources on the website from the member directory to white papers and webinars.

What would be the title of your autobiography?
“You’re not gonna believe this, but…”

What is your guilty pleasure? Cigars and In-N-Out Double-Doubles

What is your ideal vacation? Man, there’s so many. My wife loves the beach and I love the mountains, so it would have to include both of those elements…and accommodate my 3 crazy kids!

Who is your favorite sports team? Angels Baseball, baby!

What was the last book you read?
Germs, Guns & Steel by Jared Diamond (Thanks, Dan Clark!)

Describe your best day. My daughter was 7 months old and going in for the 2nd of what would turn out to be 3 open heart surgeries. The chances of them being able to repair the issue with her heart was speculated at less than 50%, my very best day was when those surgeons came out of the OR and told us they were able to repair her heart. Best day ever, hands down.

If you weren’t in the Facilities Industry, what would you be doing?
Being a ninja.

What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Picking up dog pooh.

What is one of your favorite quotes? Can I have two? Seek to understand before you seek to be understood. Ignore the attitude and get the message.

What is the most-played song on your iPod? “Long White Line” by Sturgill Simpson

Do you have a secret talent and if so, what is it? I don’t necessarily know if it’s a secret but I have written, recorded and released 4 full length CD’s with two bands on two separate record labels.

If you could meet an iconic person from History, who would it be? Sir Isaac Newton
